The FIA has officially accepted the name change of the Honda team to become Brawn GP. The Japanese manufacturer, Honda Racing, decided at the end of last year to leave Formula 1.<\/p>\n

According to a statement released by the FIA: \u00ab Honda Racing F1 Team requested to change their name to become the Brawn GP Team. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab The World Motor Sport Council accepted this request for Brawn GP to enter the championship. A contract was made with this team since Honda can no longer fulfill it. However, the standard fee required for a new entry was waived. \u00bb<\/p>\n
