Renault will be the first team to use its KERS system at the upcoming Australian Grand Prix, or at least while waiting for the positions of the other teams.<\/p>\n
While most teams are still undecided on whether the introduction of the system is truly beneficial, Renault believes it has tested its KERS enough to use it in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
McLaren, BMW-Sauber and Ferrari have publicly stated that they do not know whether or not they will use their device, while six teams have already confirmed the non-use of KERS in Australia.<\/p>\n
It is Williams, Toyota, Toro Rosso, Red Bull Racing, Force India, and Brawn GP that will introduce it during the year.<\/p>\n
Renault admitted at the beginning of the Jerez tests to being surprised by the development of its KERS system, after having been skeptical about its state of development at the beginning of the winter.<\/p>\n
