Jenson Button secured his second pole position today in qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang, establishing himself as the favorite for this second race of the season and the championship. His teammate Rubens Barrichello qualified in fourth place after struggling with a lot of understeer and will start 8th on the grid tomorrow. The veteran received a 5-place penalty for changing gearboxes.<\/p>\n

Achieving pole position in Malaysia today is perhaps even more special than last week in Australia. It’s simply fantastic and it’s a first for me in my F1 career. This proves that the car performs very well on all types of circuits.<\/p>\n
\u00ab We struggled to find a good balance yesterday, but after a night of work, we have an amazing Formula 1 car today. I really say thank you to the team for their very hard work.
