For the first time since the beginning of the season, both drivers, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica, have the KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery System on their single-seaters. It is the Polish driver who has just discovered the device since he is slightly heavier than his German teammate. The experience went well without apparent problems.<\/p>\n
However, the results are still not there as the drivers occupy the back of the grid. No better than a 16th position for Heidfeld this morning. An improvement is expected in tomorrow’s qualifying.<\/p>\n
Robert Kubica – 18th and 17th:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab We finished our Friday program by trying to learn more about the nature of the track and understand the tire compounds. While the tire choice is already difficult, adapting them during the race is even more so. Moreover, it was the first time I drove with KERS during a Grand Prix weekend. There were many tests to do.
