The German then experienced mechanical problems caused by carbon debris. He only finished 12th.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian Sutil experienced a violent accident after losing control of his single-seater. The German destroyed the Force India, leaving carbon debris all over the track. Nick Heidfeld passed right behind Sutil and picked up some pieces. Stuck in his single-seater, Heidfeld was losing several seconds per lap compared to his competitors. He thus lost four places in two laps.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab I drove through Sutil&#8217;s debris and I think I hit a wheel he lost.
