A few months ago in Monaco, Adrian Sutil was on the verge of making history by being the first to score points for his team, Force India. He was given a second chance today but without success. The German must feel cursed because in the same rainy conditions and while he was in the points, he lost control of his car and crashed into a wall.<\/p>\n
With this retirement, Fisichella was very far from 8th place as he finished in 14th. Force India could have left Ferrari in the last place of the constructors’ championship if Sutil had realized his dream… Maybe next time!<\/p>\n
Adrian Sutil – Retirement:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab I had prepared myself for a difficult race, and that’s exactly what happened. We took a risk with the strategy with a very early stop and then a long stint with one type of tire. Then it started raining quite heavily and it was very difficult to keep the car on the track. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab Sometimes, even in a straight line in fourth or fifth gear, I was battling aquaplaning. I was very lucky to keep the car on the track all this time. It’s very frustrating, we are focused more than 100%, but the car remains out of control. It gave me the same feeling as in Monaco. You are in an excellent position, and suddenly, you lose everything. Today, we were performing well. It’s good for the team, and I think we deserved the points. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Giancarlo Fisichella – 14th:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab It was a tough race. The rain was present the whole time, but my main problem was the graining on the tires. With both compounds, the wear was significant, and the car was sliding on all four wheels in certain corners. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab It was very hard to keep the car on track. The strategy was good and I think we can be happy with today’s performance. It’s a disappointment for Adrian who was so close to scoring the team’s first points. \u00bb<\/p>\n
