‘Between Joy and Bitterness’, this is the title of the new novel by the Red Bull team to be released this Saturday, April 25th… And for a good reason, the two drivers find themselves on opposite sides of the starting grid at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel didn’t hold back as a second consecutive pole position wasn’t far off. Ultimately, the German will start from the second row after delivering an outstanding Q2 lap. Unfortunately for him, the Toyota drivers were a bit better in Q3.<\/p>\n
His teammate, Mark Webber, wasn’t so lucky as Adrian Sutil hindered him on the track in Q1. The Australian remains stuck in 19th position but takes advantage of the same Sutil’s penalty to gain a place. It goes to show, everything comes full circle…<\/p>\n
Sebastian Vettel – 11th and 3rd:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab It was a good qualifying session. We could see it in Q1, the tires made life difficult for us. We didn’t have any major problems. The car was very fast, and we only needed one run in Q2 to stay on top. The track improved, which was very good. In Q3, the two Toyotas were a bit too fast for us. I look forward to tomorrow, but it will be a long race, so we’ll see.<\/p>\n
Mark Webber – 18th and 18th (qualified 19th):<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab Traffic\u2026 I had some on my last corner and it disturbed me. I’m not used to this kind of problem but it happened in the worst place. I had nowhere to go in the last corner of my first lap and then Sutil did what he did. It’s a disaster. The worst session of my season start, which means we’ll start from the back of the grid. My race is screwed. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Christian Horner – Team Principal:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab I think that the weight of the two Toyotas suggests an aggressive strategy for tomorrow. Taking into account the tires, I believe we have a solid strategy for tomorrow’s race. We are disappointed for Marc [Webber] who was blocked by Sutil in Q1. Both our drivers should have been at the front of the grid, which is really frustrating. Nonetheless, it’s worth noting a great performance by Sebastian [Vettel] who did a superb lap in Q2 and a very good one in Q3.
