And for good reason: seven teams are present in the top 10, but only eight drivers and six teams scored points today. Jenson Button once again grabs the maximum with 10 additional points to his total. Sebastian Vettel scores 8 after his victory in China a week ago.<\/p>\n

Jarno Trulli is 3rd in this Grand Prix and earns 6 points while Lewis Hamilton is 4th. Button’s teammate, Rubens Barrichello, is never far behind as today he ranks 5th, followed by Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen who scores the first points for his team, Scuderia Ferrari. Timo Glock adds 2 to his team Toyota and Fernando Alonso saves Renault’s honor in 8th position.<\/p>\n
In the driver standings, Button increases his lead at the top of the championship with 31 points. Barrichello is still second but is being caught by Vettel (19 against 18 points). The two Toyota drivers are still hanging onto the leading group with Trulli and Glock in 4th (+2 places) and 5th (-2 places) with 14.5 and 12 points respectively.<\/p>\n
Marw Webber loses a position to settle in 6th place (9.5 points). He does not score any points today and must watch out for Hamilton’s return, who is 7th with 9 points. By scoring a point, Alonso, in 8th place, breaks away from Heikki Kovalainen (-2 places) and Nick Heidfeld (-2 places) who share 9th place.<\/p>\n
No change for Nico Rosberg and S\u00e9bastien Buemi in 11th and 12th positions. However, the Swiss sees Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen return to his level, coming in 12th position in the ranking. S\u00e9bastien Bourdais is now 14th.<\/p>\n
In the constructors’ standings, Brawn GP reaches the 50-point mark after four Grand Prix races, confirming an exceptional start to the season. Their pursuers are falling further behind, as Red Bull and Toyota now have 27.5 and 26.5 points respectively. The Austrian team maintains second place by just one point.<\/p>\n
Much further back, McLaren is still in 4th place with points from Hamilton, while Renault now holds the 5th position on its own. BMW and Toro Rosso drop one place, establishing themselves in 6th, still tied. Williams remains in 8th with 3.5 points but only has a half-point lead over Ferrari, who scores its first points. The Force India team is now alone in the last position.<\/p>\n
