On the occasion of the upcoming Turkish Grand Prix, this weekend on the Istanbul Park circuit, Red Bull Racing’s team principal Christian Horner wanted to reiterate his team’s objectives. Having distanced itself from Toyota and currently 3rd in the championship, Red Bull is throwing itself wholeheartedly into the pursuit of the leader, Brawn GP.<\/p>\n
He added that his drivers, Webber and Vettel, were fully capable of competing with the best this weekend, as they managed to do in China with a Red Bull one-two finish.<\/p>\n

\u00ab In Istanbul, the RB5 will essentially be in the same specifications as in Monaco, with a few small aerodynamic updates. Istanbul Park is a fast track with turn 8 particularly challenging and a relatively slow final section. So there are some similarities with Barcelona. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab It’s a championship race like all the others, and our goal is to challenge Brawn’s supremacy. It was also evident that during the last two races, Ferrari has made a great leap forward, and I think we can expect them to play a key role this weekend, especially since it’s a race that Massa has won for the last three years. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab It’s a completely different track from Monaco, and it should suit the strength of our car better. Mark Webber was competitive on this circuit last year, and Sebastian Vettel made his F1 debut in Turkey in 2007. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab It will be important for us to achieve a good result, and our goal must be to close the gap in the championship with the leader. We have been competitive on all circuits so far, even though in some races our performance was compromised by cars equipped with KERS. \u00bb<\/p>\n
