Yesterday, June 5, 2009, was the first day of the Turkish Grand Prix. But more than that, it was also the Day for the Planet and the Environment.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, and you couldn’t have missed it, Luc Besson and Yann Arthus-Bertrand launched their production worldwide: HOME.<\/p>\n
This 1.5-hour film traces the degradation of the planet, showing surprising, unprecedented, and incredible images of the Earth. Earth where humans have sometimes forgotten that they are its fruit.<\/p>\n
The film HOME was released worldwide, royalty-free in theaters (at cost price), on the Internet (with YouTube and Google), and also on Television. France 2 broadcast the film last night at 8:40 PM. More than 8.3 million viewers tuned in to support the planet, thus beating TF1 and the France-Turkey match.<\/p>\n
The film was also shown for free on a giant screen in Paris, on the Champs-Elys\u00e9es, as well as in London and New York.<\/p>\n
