The Formula 1 teams are meeting today with Max Mosley, president of the FIA, in London to reach a last-minute agreement on the entries of the teams in the 2010 championship.<\/p>\n
The announcement of the teams for the upcoming season is to be made by the FIA tomorrow morning. Efforts are being made for a resolution to the crisis as the manufacturers are threatening to withdraw from the sport.<\/p>\n
The latest rumors indicate a positive step forward between the two parties, FIA and FOTA.<\/p>\n
However, Mosley would be willing to ease up a little for the next year, even though he remains firm on the necessity of a budget cap in 2010.<\/p>\n
\u00ab A capping of budgets in 2010: It could very well reach 100 million Euros, but we need a limit and we must have certainty about it. For 2011, it will have to decrease, for example to 45 million Euros, but again, it needs to be certain. \u00bb<\/p>\n
However, Mosley stated that a compromise could be reached with a team staff member who would be outside the budget cap. Names circulating include Adrian Newey (Red Bull) or Ross Brawn (Brawn GP).<\/p>\n
