Red Bull will present a series of important updates on its RB5 this weekend at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. The team is looking to close the gap in the championships with the undisputed leaders, Jenson Button and his team Brawn GP.<\/p>\n
The changes will include a new nose, a new engine hood, the rear diffuser, as well as modifications to the suspensions. A change in the look of the single-seaters is therefore expected!<\/p>\n
The drivers prefer to wait to test these modifications before venturing any comments: \u00ab We will have some modifications on the car that will be visible from the outside. We expect a lot from these changes, \u00bb said Sebastian Vettel.<\/p>\n
\u00ab But we must prove today, tomorrow, and Sunday that they really have an impact. Our goal is to win. It was already the case in the last two races and it will be the same this weekend. We have to fight against Brawn. The match will be quite tight, but I think the circuit will suit our car. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab There are a lot of fast corners and medium turns, so let’s hope the car will make the difference. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Vettel’s teammate, Mark Webber, added: \u00ab We hope that these modifications will make us gain a few tenths … one or two at most. \u00bb<\/p>\n
During the traditional Thursday press conferences, Button admitted that Red Bull could be a significant threat to prevent him from achieving a home victory: \u00ab I’ve heard that Red Bull will bring great improvements, I don’t know what to expect, but I just hope it won’t be too big of an improvement!
