{"id":24219,"date":"2009-06-19T15:13:10","date_gmt":"2009-06-19T15:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/8083-the-fia-takes-legal-action-against-fota"},"modified":"2009-06-19T15:13:10","modified_gmt":"2009-06-19T15:13:10","slug":"8083-the-fia-takes-legal-action-against-fota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/8083-the-fia-takes-legal-action-against-fota","title":{"rendered":"The FIA takes legal action against FOTA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The governing body of Formula 1, the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l&#8217;Automobile, has announced that it intends to take legal action against F1 teams that attempt to set up another championship.<\/p>\n<p>Following the failure of negotiations with the FIA, the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) announced Thursday evening that it will create its own series next year.<\/p>\n<p>But the Board of Directors responded to FOTA through threats, saying that the teams, especially Ferrari, have commitments that cannot be broken.<\/p>\n<p>The FIA also stated that it is delaying the publication of the 2010 list, now expected tomorrow, Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab The FIA&#8217;s lawyers examined the FOTA&#8217;s threat of creating a new series, \u00bb the FIA stated in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab The actions of the FOTA as a whole, and in particular those of Ferrari, are in violation of their rights.
