Ferrari has experienced a better start to the season, and especially a better start to the weekend. The team did not encounter significant problems on this first day of the British Grand Prix. However, the Scuderia is already behind schedule and will take time to optimize its setups for tomorrow’s practice and qualifying sessions.<\/p>\n
Massa achieved a good 6th time this morning, but the afternoon did not go as planned. The Brazilian is only 17th, trailing, a victim of grip and the strong wind currently in England. R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen is not better off and already knows that the weekend will be difficult!<\/p>\n

I’m not very happy with the way the first two free practice sessions turned out. The track was very slippery and the wind really had a bad influence. We haven’t managed to find the balance on the car. So there is still a lot of preparatory work to do before qualifying. Our goal for now is to get into Q3 (TOP 10).<\/p>\n

\u00ab It’s difficult to say where we currently stand in terms of performance. We’ll have to wait for the qualifications to know more. Nevertheless, judging by this first day, we’re heading towards a complicated weekend. The car doesn’t seem too badly balanced, but we’re lacking pace. The tires are the same as at the Turkish Grand Prix, yet the weather is not the same at all. On the first lap, the performances are therefore quite different when comparing the two tire compounds. But over a long distance, they tend to be equally performing. \u00bb<\/p>\n
