Since the 2009 season, the FIA has made the weight of the cars public, with the fuel load easily calculable, following the Saturday qualifying session.<\/p>\n

Here is the weight of each qualifying car for the British Grand Prix, sorted in ascending order. Additionally, the exact amount of fuel and the driver’s position on the starting grid of the race have been added. This is to observe the different strategies.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, the first 10 drivers are not the lightest. Vettel is impressive, the poleman is fueled up. A good start guarantees him victory in tomorrow’s race. Alonso doesn’t have that much fuel.<\/p>\n

Heidfeld, who stopped in Q2, is lightly fueled compared to the other four drivers who stopped at the same stage of qualifying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
