This circuit is preparing to possibly host its last Grand Prix today.<\/p>\n<p>The McLaren driver is the last British winner to have triumphed in Britain. It was a year ago in the rain for a very fine display of driving.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab My greatest memory at Silverstone will be my victory last year. I am proud to have won a race here and proud to have written a piece of this circuit&#8217;s history, \u00bb he acknowledged.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton finished Friday&#8217;s practice in seventh place but will start from the 19th position on the grid for the race. He, therefore, does not expect a victory but has stated that he will give his all while enjoying driving in front of his home crowd.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab For me, it&#8217;s already one of the best weekends of the year. Because I am at my national Grand Prix and the fans are amazing here. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>I have had unwavering support since my first round and today I just have to step out of my garage to see them supporting me.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab My girlfriend is here, just like my family.
