John Howett, vice-president of FOTA, is pleased that the FIA has adopted his organization’s proposals in the interest of the sport, all to avoid the threat of a parallel championship.<\/p>\n
Howett, who is also the president of the Toyota team, has been a key player in the negotiations between FOTA and FIA. He seems optimistic today about the future of Formula 1.<\/p>\n
“I’m happy that the FOTA’s proposals have been adopted and approved by the World Motor Sport Council,” said Howett. “This will ensure stability and good governance. It’s a positive outcome for the entirety of F1 with its many parties.”<\/p>\n
