Donington Park has received the final stamp of approval authorizing its track redevelopment program. This is another positive boost for the circuit.<\/p>\n
The final document has been signed by all parties concerned. Work can therefore begin immediately on the site.<\/p>\n

The construction work is obviously extremely important, but we also try not to rush so as not to compromise the arrival and experience of our visitors who will participate in the event.<\/p>\n
Donington is scheduled to host the British Grand Prix next year and for the next 17 years.<\/p>\n
However, doubts remain about these plans as Bernie Ecclestone suggested last weekend that Silverstone might still host the race next year.<\/p>\n
The comments from the chief financial officer of Formula 1 were made after Silverstone director Robert Brooks claimed that Donington would not be ready in time.<\/p>\n
Andrew Hampel, CEO of ISG, the construction company for Donington, contradicted Brooks by stating that there is no reason to believe the circuit will not be ready on time.<\/p>\n
