This regulation is at the center of discussions between the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) and the FIA Board of Directors. With a budget cap that will likely not be the one announced (45 million euros), the issue of refueling still needs to be examined.<\/p>\n<p>If this rule applies in 2010, teams would be required to develop larger fuel tanks to accommodate double what is currently used in races. This goes in the direction of cost reduction since the transport of equipment for fuel refueling would be less significant.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the agreement reached between FOTA and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) at the beginning of the week, it was agreed that a portion of the 2010 regulations would be removed. Therefore, some rules from this season may be retained next year.<\/p>\n<p>According to a source close to the FOTA: There will be some changes to the regulations that must be unanimously approved. This will involve refueling and a few other points.
