A drastic technical regulation, a significant reduction in costs, and the introduction of KERS, for example, to facilitate overtaking. However, Theissen believes that the efforts made to improve the spectacle were not sufficient, unlike those employed to reduce costs and budgets in F1.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on the official BMW site, Mario Theissen comments: \u00ab In terms of cost reduction, I believe the progress is significant. However, the aerodynamic restrictions may not have been effective enough. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The German tempers his comments on the competitiveness of the teams: Most of the teams in qualifying have to run twice and with soft tires to qualify as best as possible. It&#8217;s very exciting for the spectators and sometimes too much for us.
