The driver, currently with Renault but without results, could indeed leave the team at the end of the year to join Ferrari as early as 2010. It was the Italian newspaper <i>La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/i> and the Spanish newspaper <i>Diario AS<\/i> who first revealed the information; Ferrari announcing the agreement for the Italian Grand Prix in mid-September.<\/p>\n<p>In the newspaper As, Luca Colajanni, the spokesperson for Scuderia, did not confirm anything: \u00ab Massa and R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen are our drivers for 2009, you cannot say anything more. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>He continues by stating that the pilots&#8217; contracts will be respected: \u00ab We are not going to waste time commenting on rumors. Moreover, Massa and R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen both have a contract with us until the end of 2010. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Fernando Alonso, who has always shown an interest in the Italian team, commented on the rumors with a simple \u00ab we will see what happens \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The latest information reports an exchange between Massa and Alonso, with the former going to Renault and the latter to Ferrari.
