Kovalainen and Hamilton will therefore give their maximum on a track they know, as each is familiar with the circuit’s peculiarities. Who knows, a miracle could happen starting Friday.<\/p>\n
Lewis Hamilton – Racing Driver<\/b><\/p>\n
The last time we raced at the Nurburgring was in 2007, and I remember a tough afternoon. Starting from the back of the grid to finish just outside the points. It’s a fantastic circuit, a bit older than many others. It is quite different from what we are used to seeing. It’s fast and flowing with some good overtaking zones. There is always an incredible atmosphere every time we race in Germany.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Although we do not expect many updates for this weekend, I am still looking forward to being in the race. It is an honor to be behind the wheel of a Silver Arrow. We are pushing incredibly hard, hoping to get closer to the front before the end of the season. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Heikki Kovalainen – Racing Driver<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab The Nurburgring is a big track. There are quite tricky corners with technical sections that require a good rhythm, plus some faster corners where the car will need to be well set up. Coming to Germany is the perfect time to pay tribute to everyone’s efforts at Mercedes-Benz. They undoubtedly have the most powerful and reliable engines in the sport. Their KERS is also fantastic. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Mercedes-Benz played a big role in the success of our team, so I really hope to have a strong race at the front for all the fans supporting us for this second home race of the season. Myself, Lewis [Hamilton], and the rest of the team are working hard to develop the car. It’s a long process, but we’re all in this together.<\/p>\n

The Santander German Grand Prix is our second home race of the year. We have had this fantastic and close relationship with Mercedes-Benz for 15 years. We meet many friends in Germany and we really enjoy the fantastic support we receive. Not only from the thousands of Mercedes-Benz employees who attend the race, but also from the huge crowd that plays a big role in this warm atmosphere.<\/p>\n
We must admit that we will not achieve a triple victory this weekend since we have been winning the German Grand Prix for two years. However, we are working hard to develop the MP4-24 to make it more competitive.
