Four days after the race at Nurburgring, when Toro Rosso announced that the 30-year-old French driver would be replaced by Jaime Alguersuari, Bourdais stated on his site that he had instructed [his] lawyers to study the situation and consider the possibility of legal action.<\/p>\n
Nicolas Todt moderated his driver’s comments: \u00ab A week after the German Grand Prix, we reached an out-of-court settlement with the team. They knew that this (Bourdais’ dismissal, editor’s note) would not be taken to court. \u00bb There is talk of financial compensation amounting to 1.8 million euros for the Frenchman.<\/p>\n
