Since the 2009 season, the FIA has made the car weights public, with the fuel load easily calculable, following the Saturday qualifying session.<\/p>\n

Here is the weight of each qualifying car for the British Grand Prix, sorted in ascending order. Additionally, the exact amount of fuel has been added, as well as the driver’s position on the starting grid for the race. This is to observe the different strategies.<\/p>\n

No big surprises since the top 10 on the starting grid are the 10 drivers with the least fuel in their cars. Lewis Hamilton is expected to be the first to stop, followed by Sebastian Vettel and Heikki Kovalainen. Robert Kubica, only 10th, has the most fuel in this top 10, which reveals the limitations of his F1.09.<\/p>\n

Next are the drivers who stayed in the pits during Q1 and Q2, somewhat mixed. Note that Luca Badoer, who will start last, is not the heaviest in terms of fuel. His lack of competition experience over the past 10 years is evident. It is Jarno Trulli who will start with the largest fuel load. He has more than 100 kg of fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
