The official tire supplier, Bridgestone, announced at the beginning of this week the types of tires allocated to teams for the last four races of the 2009 championship. The Japanese manufacturer confirmed that it would return to a philosophy of difference between the two types of compounds for the Japanese and Brazilian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
The super-softs and softs will be used for the Singapore Grand Prix, while the softs and hards will be employed in Japan. The super-softs and medium tires will be used in Brazil, while the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi will see teams equipped with soft and medium tires.<\/p>\n
\u00ab We are pleased to reveal our allocations for the last races of the 2009 season, \u00bb said Hirohide Hamashima of Bridgestone. \u00ab Singapore is an urban circuit and based on our experience from last year, we feel that the soft and super-soft tires will be the best choices. For Suzuka, we will have a greater tire compound gap. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab It will be an interesting return for this great circuit, half of which has a new surface, and wear could be difficult to counter. In Brazil, we also remain with a significant gap. It can be very hot in Sao Paulo and we are used to seeing good races, although I think we will not have a Grand Prix as exciting as last season. \u00bb<\/p>\n
\u00ab Abu Dhabi is a new destination for us. Although it is technically like a street circuit, we are bringing harder compounds than Valencia or Monaco.
