Since the 2009 season, the FIA has made the weight of cars public, with the fuel load easily calculated following the Saturday qualifying session.<\/p>\n

Here is the weight of each qualifying car for the British Grand Prix, sorted in ascending order. Additionally, the specific amount of fuel and the driver’s position on the starting grid for the race have been included. This is to observe the different strategies.<\/p>\n

No surprise as the top 10 qualifiers of the day have the least fuel. The accolade goes to Toyota and Trulli, who have a bit more fuel and start from the front row. This demonstrates the full capabilities of the Japanese team to clinch the victory tomorrow. The same goes for Heidfeld, who will start from 3rd place. Indeed, Fisichella has little fuel, but the one with the least is Barrichello, proving that the Brawn GP are not comfortable on the Spa circuit. The Brazilian will therefore have a very aggressive strategy.<\/p>\n

The two McLarens are loaded with fuel. Several drivers are expected to make only one pit stop. This is the case for Alguersuari, Grosjean, and Nakajima, whose cars weigh over 700kg, with more than 100kg just in fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
