Alpine is racking up the kilometers. After a first salvo at Castellet and a second on the Lurcy-L\u00e9vis circuit a few weeks ago, the French team left France to join Spain. At the end of last week, the A424 was tested again in Aragon.<\/p>\n
For two days, Nicolas Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxivi\u00e8re covered nearly 1,500 kilometers. The Frenchmen did long runs and double stints to test new aerodynamic appendages. The secondary goal was to analyze the behavior of Michelin tires for the 2024 WEC season.<\/p>\n
\u00ab The trials went well. The positive aspects of the trials at Circuit Paul Ricard were confirmed at Motorland [Aragon] and the car continued to display healthy behavior. \u00ab Matthieu and Nico completed a series of relays over more than 1,500 km, sometimes even double relays, without any reliability problems, which was very satisfying and constructive. It was at this point that we were able to start playing our role as operators, focusing on understanding the car and the right settings. The smooth operation of the team was palpable on a human level, which really encouraged discussions before the big challenge that awaits us.
