Brawn GP understood everything since the qualifying and the race are not supposed to take place on a wet track, there was no point in making adjustments to the BGP001. Only the rain and intermediate tires were tested as a safety measure\u2026<\/p>\n

\u00ab As expected, the rain came to Suzuka today and it was an exceptionally quiet day in terms of driving. The morning session wasn’t too bad but the rain intensified this afternoon, creating small streams on the track, and there was nothing to gain by leaving the pits. The limited running makes the future much more interesting, but we will still need to make the right adjustments quickly. Whether it ends up being dry or wet tomorrow, we will need to study the data. We must focus from tomorrow morning to ensure we are well-prepared for qualifying. \u00bb<\/p>\n

I’m sorry for the fans present at Suzuka today, but unfortunately, we couldn’t gather useful information in these conditions as there was so much water on the track. We spent the morning working on the car’s balance with wet and intermediate tires to ensure we’re ready if the rain continues over the weekend. This track is made for great drivers, so I hope the conditions will be dry tomorrow to drive at least a little.<\/p>\n

We completed an installation program on the wet track with the tires this morning before Jenson and Rubens switched to intermediates as the track began to dry during the session. With a heavy shower between the two sessions, the track condition further deteriorated.
