It is Rias Asmat, known for having been the Head of the Malaysian automotive group Proton.<\/p>\n<p>The Malaysian team, which will be making its return to F1 next season, confirmed its commitment to F1 during a conference in Sepang this morning and announced the immediate arrival of Asmat within the group.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Fernandes, who leads the Formula 1 team, has been confirmed in his position and will therefore follow the instructions of his new superior. He commented: \u00ab Riad Asmat&#8217;s expertise in the automotive sector coupled with his knowledge in motorsport will surely make him a dynamic and brilliant leader. It&#8217;s someone like him that the team needed. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>This choice makes me even more confident for the future of the first Malaysian F1 team.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the official name of the team approved by the FIA (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l&#8217;Automobile) will be Lotus F1 Racing.
