The FIA – F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l’Automobile has homologated the new Campos Meta 1 single-seater after a series of tests, one of the three teams created for the 2010 season.<\/p>\n

The homologation of the CM11 took place last week in Parma, Italy at the Dallara facilities, the subsidiary responsible for building the Campos Meta 1 chassis. For now, safety is the only priority and therefore, only the reinforced cockpit has been assessed.<\/p>\n

\u00ab The homologation of the cockpit is a critical point that defines the status and quality of a Formula 1 single-seater, \u00bb admits Campos’ technical director, Toni Cuquerella. \u00ab Having fully homologated our cockpit allows us to stay in touch with other teams and advance in the development of the Campos 2010. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Dallara did a superb job, managing to be on time and especially passing the tests on the first attempt. We now need to focus on the homologation of the rear of the car, which follows the same process. For the moment, our internal tests are favorable.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Spanish team, Adrian Campos, is satisfied with the progress of the work: \u00ab It is a satisfaction to have passed the FIA tests. It shows our technical strength and that of our partners and subcontractors. I therefore congratulate Dallara for meeting the deadlines and succeeding on the first try.
