According to Formula 1’s chief financier, Bernie Ecclestone, the Renault team is indeed in trouble but will be present under its name in 2010 and the following years. Last week, Prodrive (David Richards) and G\u00e9rard Lopez became known as possible buyers of the Renault F1 Team, which is facing financial difficulties. Today, Bernie Ecclestone announced that there are two other people interested in financing Renault.<\/p>\n
\u00ab David Richards is undoubtedly the favorite, \u00bb admits Ecclestone to the English newspaper The Times<\/i>. \u00ab But there is also G\u00e9rard Lopez’s group and two other people. I don’t think there is any rush to close the deal. But the sooner it is done, the better it will be for us. \u00bb<\/p>\n
