Mercedes GP, formerly Brawn GP, has signed a long-term sponsorship contract with the Malaysian oil company Petronas. The company, which once sponsored the BMW-Sauber team and had been associated with the Malaysian Lotus team, will ultimately become the partner of the German manufacturer.<\/p>\n
The team released an image of the car with Petronas logos, but it will be officially unveiled at the team launch and will take to the track for the first time on February 1, 2010, in Valencia, Spain.<\/p>\n

The head of Mercedes Motorsport, Norbert Haug added: \u00ab Mercedes-Benz and Petronas will work together on the track but also off it.
