Renault announced this evening the signing of a significant sponsorship deal with HP, a global technology leader, for 2010 and 2011. This new agreement means that the HP brand will appear on the R30 single-seaters of the Renault F1 Team starting from the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
On the eve of the Bahrain Grand Prix this Sunday, which marks the beginning of the season, HP and Renault F1 Team have decided to go further and especially faster in their collaboration initiated last year as part of a technological partnership.<\/p>\n
The objectives of this agreement are threefold. One, to strengthen their technological cooperation. Two, to promote the values of innovation, excellence, and competition related to the sport discipline cherished by both parties, and finally, to increase HP’s brand awareness in emerging countries.<\/p>\n
Through this new partnership, Renault F1 will benefit from HP’s IT solutions to further enhance the performance of its cars, develop even more powerful digital simulation tools thanks to HP High Performance Computing servers, and use High Definition communication tools such as the HP SkyRoom videoconferencing solution.<\/p>\n
HP will work with the team to reduce its carbon footprint through green data centers, workstations that are 90% recyclable, and that consume less energy.<\/p>\n
