The American team also asked the FIA to postpone its entry into the competition by a year.<\/p>\n<p>However, the FIA &#8211; F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de L&#8217;Automobile &#8211; has decided to reopen the selection for the vacant spot, which means that a significant number of candidates hope to race next season.<\/p>\n<p>Lola, Epsilon Euskadi, Prodrive, and N.Technology were among the teams requesting entry into the competition this year.
