While Virgin, Lotus, and Hispania are making their F1 debuts this weekend, one team is missing\u2014the American USF1.<\/p>\n
After a year of preparation, the team failed to field two cars in Bahrain…Nor elsewhere and had to face the facts…They were not ready to start in 2010 and had to resign themselves. However, this decision calls into question the judgments and decisions of the FIA concerning the new teams and makes Jean Todt uncomfortable:<\/p>\n
\u00ab The non-participation of USF1 is a disappointment. We were hoping that the American team would be at the start. Unfortunately, this is not possible. Yesterday, the World Council asked me to review the situation. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Indeed, Jean Todt will have to present his conclusions concerning this team, which has nevertheless received regular monitoring and support from the FIA throughout the winter.<\/p>\n

Charlie Whiting and I went there and I saw their facilities and some cars under construction.
