Last May, the FIA and the ACO launched a call for tenders to find out who would provide the engines for the LMP2, from 2026 onwards. This Friday, October 20th, the two institutions made their verdict. It is ultimately Gibson who will supply its power units to the entire LMP2 field.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab The tender procedure took into account several factors, such as performance, weight and reliability, operating and maintenance costs of the unit, the cost of spare parts, as well as the infostructure and customer service capabilities of the candidate company, its sustainability and its environmental and carbon footprint \u00bb, details a press release from the ACO.<\/p>\n<p>Gibson will supply a unique engine. This will be a 4.2 litre atmospheric V8.
