\u00ab Before talking about today’s sessions, I want to say that it’s good to hear that Sergio is conscious and speaking. I myself had a big accident, and I know what it’s like for the team, friends, and family waiting for news, so I hope he returns to the track quickly.<\/p>\n
In qualifying, it was a difficult session for me today, but I am reasonably satisfied with where I finish. My first run didn’t go very well, I definitely didn’t get the best out of the tires, so I really needed to go out with a second set and it was much better, but not enough to get into Q2. But the gap to the cars ahead is small, so I think it will be fine tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\u00ab It’s a bit of bad luck for us. The car wasn’t responding as I wanted, and the tires were behaving strangely, the first set was great and the second was really poor, so I’m not sure where we aren’t good. I know I could have been faster in the second run with more rubber on the track, but for some reasons, I was only slightly faster, which is why we ended up there. Tomorrow, we’ll keep our focus, apply our plans, and see what’s happening around us. I’m sure there will be places to take, so we’ll see. I also want to say that I hope Sergio is okay. It’s a huge shock, and I hope we’ll get some good news soon. \u00bb<\/p>\n

First of all, we obviously hope that Sergio is well after his accident. Our best wishes to him and the entire Sauber team. For us, it’s been a reasonably good qualifying session. Jarno had more grip than this morning but couldn’t make the most of the second set of tires.
