\u00ab The weather conditions were very bad today and, given the intensity of the rain, stopping the race was a good decision. There were many puddles on the track and this led to off-track excursions, even under the safety car regime. After the restart, I thought things were going to go well when I damaged my front wing in a contact with Nick Heidfeld at the chicane. This resulted in a drive-through penalty, which I was very surprised to receive and which cost me dearly. After that, I returned to the track fairly quickly and pushed hard to overtake Rubens Barrichello in the final laps. Unfortunately, I pushed too hard and hit the wall, which caused a puncture. That’s why I had to park my car. It’s really a shame because we had a good car today and we could have come away with some important points \u00bb.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the race, visibility was very poor, and there was very little grip. I had trouble with the rain tires, so I switched to intermediates quite early, which turned out to be a good decision until it started raining heavily again. After the restart, everything was going very well until I was too close to Rosberg when the safety car pulled away. All the cars in front of me slowed down a lot at the hairpin, and I got caught out. I damaged my front wing. But the car was still in good condition, and I didn’t lose too much time. After the drive through, I decided it was worth switching to slick tires, but it might have been a bit early. I had a big slide on my out lap from the pits and hit the wall, which broke my left rear suspension.<\/p>\n

A very long and eventful afternoon of racing where we did not confirm our potential. We had a very fast car and both drivers were competitive, but the race circumstances did not play in our favor.
