Faced with this situation, the organizers decided to use the &#8220;Joker card of alternation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thus, starting in 2013, a new system will be introduced where the Belgian Grand Prix and the French Grand Prix will alternate every other year. The Belgian Grand Prix will indeed take place in 2012, while the French Grand Prix will start in 2013, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers of the future French Grand Prix are still considering the location of the future GP. Le Castellet is announced as the favorite against Magny-Cours, but nothing is official yet.
