Recently, Hispania Racing Team was acquired through the Spanish subsidiary of a Japanese investment company (Nomura Group). The previous owner, Jose Ramon Carabante, therefore sold the majority of his shares to the acquiring group. However, the structure is still based in Spain and retains the same members.<\/p>\n

According to the team’s number 1 driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi, this takeover should allow HRT to secure its future in Formula 1: At the beginning of the season, everyone was questioning our survival in F1 and our presence until the end of the year.
