The race started in the worst possible way for me because the anti-stall system kicked in. I got stuck in 3rd gear and then the engine cut out completely. I couldn’t get going again, and they had to push my car back to the pits. Everything seemed fine, but suddenly my engine’s temperature increased, and I had to wait in the pits to check it. The race was tough, there was a lot of traffic, but during my second stint, I managed to put in some interesting laps and gather quite a bit of data, which is always something…<\/p>\n
Vitantonio Liuzzi – Retirement<\/b><\/p>\n
I was really looking forward to participating in my home Grand Prix even though I knew it was going to be quite tough. I made an excellent start by passing two Virgins and the Lotuses, but my last overtaking attempt went wrong. I drove onto the grass, tried to slow down but completely lost control of the car and collided with other competitors. I am truly sorry for Rosberg and Petrov and the other drivers who had to retire because of me.<\/p>\n
