I’m quite happy with my final position, but obviously, we would have liked to run more during free practice 1. The fire this time was less significant than last year, and with normal brake temperatures, it’s not uncommon to see this kind of thing, but it wasn’t a big problem in the end, and we’re where we wanted to be ultimately. I think we’re continuing to gain performance with the new parts here – there are still a few tenths to find, so we’ll see where we land tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Slightly eventful day for the Team Lotus today in Singapore. Heikki Kovalainen had to deal with a fire on his T128 – he had already faced a fire at the end of the race last year and had improvised as a firefighter to extinguish the flames.
