Fourth in the final championship standings, the driver from Team Addax achieved 3 pole positions and secured two victories at the start of the season, in Barcelona and Monaco: &#8220;I discovered Charles, he has incredible talent, he has done things that really surprised me this year. He has real partners who have been following him for a long time and, today, being managed by the Lagard\u00e8re Group, obviously, is a plus,&#8221; Olivier Panis confesses in the show &#8220;F1 \u00e0 la Une&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Interviewed by Denis Brongniart about the chances of seeing the Frenchman in Formula One next year, the winner of the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix assures: &#8220;We are doing everything for it. Believe me, we are working tremendously hard so that Charles is in a seat because he deserves it and he will surprise a lot of people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the former Ligier, McLaren, BAR and Toyota driver also commented on the chances of other French drivers: [Romain Grosjean] is very very good and he deserves his place, of course, he won the championship.
