Some believe that the tire allocation should not change, such as Ross Brawn, the director of the Mercedes GP team, but the teams, through the GPDA, would like Pirelli to bring fewer tires to avoid the Italian manufacturer having to destroy new tires at the end of each race weekend.<\/p>\n
But others would like Pirelli to bring more tires\u2014qualifying tires have been mentioned, but this is ultimately not expected to be implemented\u2014and this is what S\u00e9bastien Buemi wants. The Toro Rosso driver believes that it would allow young drivers to run and thus gain experience in a Formula 1 car.<\/p>\n
I would like to change the rules on tires – to have more sets per race weekend. We spend millions designing single-seaters and sometimes we are not able to drive them because we need to conserve new tires.
