The HRT team is struggling with financial difficulties, which is not new, so they’re looking for a paying driver to race alongside Pedro de la Rosa. And according to Marca<\/i>, the team wants a driver who can bring at least 6 million euros.<\/p>\n
According to the Spanish daily, the list of candidates is long, even though Giedo Van der Garde is best positioned to take the seat, thanks notably to the support from McGregor and the backing of his billionaire father-in-law.<\/p>\n
The Dutch driver could face competition from Vitaly Petrov – who also has a certain budget – unless the Russian settles for a third driver role at Caterham. Adrian Sutil and Jerome d’Ambrosio could also be candidates for this last seat, even though both men do not seem to have as much money as Van der Garde.<\/p>\n
