However, the British team currently has a Mercedes V8 and has a contract &#8211; amounting to 8 million euros per season &#8211; for the supply of a V6 Turbo for 2014 and 2015.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren does not appear to be interested in the engine developed by the company Pure, at least that&#8217;s what a team spokesperson explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abMcLaren has had absolutely no contact with Pure for months, \u00bb a McLaren spokesperson told <i>Reuters<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>He also disclosed that McLaren did indeed establish contact with Pure a few months ago, but it was only to get in touch with the company and to inquire about what it might offer.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the contact we had with Pure several months ago was entirely informal in nature and was merely a gesture of courtesy, the spokesperson specifies.<\/p>\n<p>Honda was also mentioned as a possible replacement for Mercedes, but the information was also denied by the Woking team.
