He then left his position to Rubens Barrichello when he signed a contract with Sauber to race alongside Kamui Kobayashi. However, he will not complete the entire season as he will be replaced a few races before the end by Nick Heidfeld.<\/p>\n<p>The departure of Barrichello from the world of Formula 1 to IndyCar this year, within the KV Racing team of his friend Tony Kanaan, left the position vacant at the GPDA.
