Sebastian Vettel visited Renault’s nerve center, where the next generations of Renault passenger vehicles are created. The director of industrial design, Laurens van den Acker, and Fran\u00e7ois Frenette, the director of the Ile de France facilities, welcomed Vettel before showing him behind the scenes of the design studio where D\u00e9zir and the new Renault vehicles are conceptualized.<\/p>\n
The studio visit was followed by a few interviews with the media present, then the German addressed the Technocentre staff – some 11,000 people! Joined by his engine engineer, Cyril Dumont, and Renault Sport F1’s track operations director, R\u00e9mi Taffin, together they provided an exceptional insight into the life of a world champion team.<\/p>\n
The Red Bull Renault driver stated: I had already been to Viry-Ch\u00e2tillon, where my F1 engines are created, but it was the first time I saw the place where the touring cars are designed. It’s fascinating; I obviously have to keep what I saw secret, but I can assure you that the upcoming Renault cars are simply incredible! It was also a great pleasure to meet so many Renault employees. Even though I couldn’t thank each person individually, I hope they realize the importance of their involvement in our successes.<\/p>\n
