\u00ab Trying to find the right balance for the entire race was very tricky. In the end, fourth is not such a bad result: it wasn’t the maximum we could hope for, but it’s very close with the teams in front. At certain points in the race, I was being shown the board with 13th or 14th written on it, so I have to be satisfied with fourth place.<\/p>\n
I made some mistakes, going wide by attacking too much at the entrance of the long straight: it’s difficult at that spot, where you can drive on the marbles.<\/p>\n
I think the strategy was good, but it’s always a gamble with three-stop strategies, depending on the traffic that may occur.<\/p>\n
Congratulations to Nico who deserves the victory and also to Mercedes. For me, it’s three fourth places in a row now, they’re good points and I’m leaving China reasonably satisfied, but we must keep fighting and progressing.<\/p>\n
Sebastian Vettel \u2013 5th:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00ab I didn’t have any tires left at the end of the race. In the car, I was adjusting the brake balance, the differentials, I tried everything to preserve the tires, but in the last laps, I knew my only chance was to try to stay ahead of Kimi: I think he faced the same issues as I did. We scored good points and it was a nice comeback from 15th place.<\/p>\n
Mercedes won quite easily today, so congratulations to them. We were generally too slow on the straights and lost time there, which made overtaking difficult. But overall, I’m pretty happy with 5th place given my bad start. Usually, I’m pretty quick off the line, but this time I was among the last to get off my spot. The first lap wasn’t great, but thanks to strategy, we managed to come back.<\/p>\n
