S\u00e9bastien Buemi was not retained by Toro Rosso for the 2012 season, but the Swiss driver found refuge with Red Bull as a test and reserve driver for the Austrian team and its sister team Toro Rosso. Buemi told the site Italiaracing<\/i> that he hopes this will allow him to drive one of the two cars by the end of the season during the first free practice session: “I don’t know if it will be with Toro Rosso or Red Bull, but I hope to be able to drive in free practice 1 of a Grand Prix very soon.”<\/p>\n
As a test and reserve driver, Buemi works in the simulator and rarely drives a Formula 1 car at the moment, even though he participates in a few demonstrations for Red Bull or some aerodynamic tests.
